Gabay Guro FQ Workshop

This was my last out-of-town trip before the lockdown was declared. On March 3, 2020 we went to Batac, Ilocos Norte to give a workshop to over 300 teachers under the Gabay Guro event. We were flown in there by Insular Life as part of our partnership dubbed InLife Sherores program, an advocacy to empower Filipino women to take charge of their economic, social, health, and overall well-being. The workshop was of course not limited to women but also to the male teachers in Batac, Ilocos Norte.

Teachers are always a great audience, and it was even more fun because I had the chance to speak my FQripot language in the land of the OG kuripots! Oops… let’s rephrase that, the land of the frugal. 🙂

It was also a great opportunity to visit some of the beautiful sites in Ilocos. Watch this.
