FQwentuhan with BSP Governor Ben Diokno

We are all so absorbed by the ongoing pandemic. Discussions are all about survival and how to cope with the new normal.

For this week’s #FQwentuhan I wish to share this conversation with the Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Benjamin Diokno. It reminds us of the economic wins we’ve been reaping and how we are aiming to get that A rating.

This was taken during the annual convention of FMAP (Fund Managers Association of the Philippines) on Feb 28, 2020 at the beautiful Seda Lio in Palawan.

As I recall our conversation and all the economic forecasts at that time, I realize that yes, GDP forecast will definitely be off but maybe some aspects of financial inclusion may just have been accelerated due to the crisis.
