Alvin Ang, PhD, is an economist who teaches at the Ateneo and UST. He was also our managing director at the Ateneo Center for Economic Research and Development ACERD), where I also sit in the board.
In this video, we talk about consumer, household, inflation, GDP, Jobo bills (have you heard of that?), stagflation, and other economic events we have experienced and should learn from. We also talk about the importance of the peaceful People Power Revolution that saved our economy from further going down the drain during the time of the dictator Marcos.
This is a crucial discussion because we are going to have another presidential election on May 9, 2022, where the son and namesake of the world’s greatest thief” (yes, try to google “Who is the world’s greatest thief?” and you will see his Guinness World Record) is also running.
