Raising Money Smart Kids
(The Philippine Star) Updated February 21, 2012 12:00 AM
MANILA, Philippines – Parents always want to provide the best for their children. They send them to the best schools they can afford, provide them with comfortable homes, recreation and all possible learning opportunities in order for them to grow to their fullest potential. However, they know that they cannot be with their children forever. What happens if children who are so used to the good things in life are left on their own to fend for themselves?

This is the reason why it is best to educate children on money matters as early as possible. Today, there is a growing realization of the importance of children’s financial literacy. The Registered Financial Planners (RFP) of the Philippines presents a workshop for parents and children on March 17, 2012; 1-5pm at the Crowne Plaza. The half day workshop is entitled Raising Money Smart Kids.

The workshop will be conducted by Rose Fres Fausto, author of best-selling book Raising Pinoy Boys. She will share her two decades of raising money smart sons, who have been stock investors as early as grade school. She will also share some of the lessons learnt from the stories of successful Pinoy men featured in her book: Lance Gokongwei, Tony Meloto, Tony Tan Caktiong, Bo Sanchez, the Tan Brothers, and Chris Tiu.

Parents and children will also have the chance to ask their questions to the author and her sons during the open forum.

Interested parties may contact the RFP to reserve via telephone no. 382-4530 or info@rfp.ph. Inquire about parent and child discounts. You may also visit the Facebook page of Raising MoneySmart Kids or www.RaisingPinoyBoys.com.

Raising children to be money smart is one of the best gifts parents can give to them and to our country.
