Atlanta, Georgia – After a long trip (28 hours from home to hotel), we arrived in Atlanta on April 14, 2015. It’s our first time here and we are here to watch our son compete in the global championship of CFA Society’s IRC (Institute Research Challenge) on Friday April 17, 2015.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis. My son, Enrique, together with his teammates from the Ateneo de Manila University, Shawn, Sara, Kyle and Jayhan are now at the Leow’s Hotel together with the other regional champion teams.
Atlanta is probably the most sparsely populated place I’ve been to in a while. My mind is debating whether I saw more people per square meter in Batanes when we there last year or not. I’ll write more about this place in a future piece.
For the meantime, may I ask you to say a little prayer for the Philippine team to bring home the championship. Here’s an invitation to our workshop from my middle born Enrique that he wishes to extend to all of you:
“Hello from Atlanta, USA! Wish me luck as we compete in the CFA IRC Global Championship on April 17 but ALSO don’t forget, that’s the last day to avail of the early bird FREE GIFT when you register for the Family FQ Workshop at FQMom.com.”
